Preschool

Heading 2

Our pre-school program incorporates hands-on learning with structured academic class time.    Preschoolers are prepared for Kindergarten.  Specific large motor skills are developed by  activities which encourage movement with music, rhythm and dance.  Additional exercise and “fun-damentals” are experienced through outdoor play in the pre-school playground.  Small motor skills like coloring, painting, cutting, pasting, lacing, shoe-tying, and “clay-playing” are developed during daily table activities.  The phonics-based pre-reading program involves following

directions, letter recognition, sequencing and visual recognition skills.  Early math is introduced by counting,

number recognition, matching, the concept of greater or lesser, and sequencing.  Shapes and colors are taught daily.  Computer time daily during class time.
