October is "Cystic Fibrosis Month" at the 

Double R Private School

Help us reach our $1,500 goal through our Jump-a-thon during the 3rd week of October, and our "Coins for Cure" campaign throughout the month.

School Program Objectives

To educate each child in order to encourage development not only academically,

but socially and emotionally.  This is accomplished by teaching the fundamentals

of reading, math, science and social studies in conjunction with computer

technology, art, music, physical education, foreign language,  business and fiscal

responsibility coursework. Critical thinking strategies are taught and integrated

 into daily core classes.

To provide an environment that enables students to be physically active and

aware of the components necessary for healthy choices.

To encourage each child to function in a socially acceptable manner, to be

courteous and cooperative with each other, and to treat adults and peers with

respect.

To encourage every child to assume responsibility through leadership and

supporting roles.  Students are assigned individiual responsibilities in the

classrooom during the course of the school year and are encouraged to take

active roles in their communities.  Good citizenship is encouraged at all levels of

the school.

To involve the students of the Double R Private School in local programs which

promote and encourage their health, safety and community involvement.

To gain exposure to cultures from around the world in order to learn about the

importance of the global community.
